September 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

On Friday September 4th we held the annual Prayer Day for Schools, and although the format was completely new, it was a great time of blessing as this feedback shows:

“Friday was AMAZING. So encouraging, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by him. Thank you!” Robyn Bland – Northern Prayer for Schools.

“Well done. Thanks for the opportunity to share. I thought having the multiple short presentations was a great idea to get a snapshot of what is happening and how to pray. I felt encouraged and inspired!” Jeff, Rite Mentoring.

Diane Hampton Park  “Thank you for the opportunity to participate in an important and inspiring prayer time”

I particularly want to thank Jenny Wraight for the wonderful worship, as well as inspiring stories of a Warragul school chaplain and church partnering together to serve the community.

Eric Rasmussen from CHIPS (Christians Helping In Primary Schools) shared an inspiring video about the work they do.

Lara Ruddle was most informative about the great work Mustard does equipping Christian students to reach their friends in secondary schools.

Gail Cameron told us a moving story about an eight year old demonstrating what a blessing and life changer Kids Hope is for many children.

Jeff Andrews communicated the value of the work of Rite Mentoring with boys in both school and through camps.

Lauren Stebbins inspired us about the power of prayer and care as she shared the story of a girl coming to salvation after being bullied and suicidal.

We are also grateful to Alison Keen for all her work on our prayer groups for schools website.

Over all the service brought glory to God and the breakout rooms were a time of good connection and blessing. Thank you all for your participation as the event would not have happened without you.

Blessings to you all, and thank you for your support to PGS,
Nancy Moyle, on behalf of PGS Victoria
